On Tuesday, 5/18/21, we welcomed our very own web designer for Choice, long time colleague sally tudhope for digital footprint 101: insider secrets about building a website.
In this session, Sally walked us through her process of creating a website you're proud of and one that's actually designed to appeal to your ideal customers. Think of this course as a "brain dump" of all the things Sally has learned in her 20+ years of building websites, with some insider secrets thrown in. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Monmouth County SPCA, whose mission is to protect, care and advocate for all animals. They are dedicated to enforcing animal cruelty laws; providing a safe haven for homeless, abused and abandoned animals while they await adoption; reducing over-population through spay/neutering; and cultivating their humane treatment through education and advocacy services as a valuable community resource. About Sally: Bio coming soon! |
On Tuesday, 4/20/21, we welcomed long time friend and colleague laura belvedere-pizzonia for using the web 101: getting the most out of our community.
In this session, Laura walked us through her experience with the dreamcatchers web. As we always say, what you put into something is what you get out of it - and Laura has been one of our biggest fans from day 1. We explored the dreamDIRECTORY, discussed best practices, and answered questions about getting the most of your membership. This is a perfect course for a new member, prospective member, or veteran member! A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Delivering Good, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that unites retailers, manufacturers, foundations and individuals to support people affected by poverty and tragedy. About Laura: Laura is a 40-year veteran of the fashion industry, with both retail and wholesale experience and a proven track record across various brands. She most recently held the position of EVP of Sales at one of the largest infant manufacturers in the world. Prior to that, she held several EVP of Sales positions with the finest brands in the world, including Nike, Levi Strauss, and Ralph Lauren. She also spent 19 years at Saks Fifth Avenue, rising to VP/DMM. We are so lucky to have Laura in our web! |
On Thursday, 3/4/21, we welcomed our very own Jamie Sztoser for the brand crush project™: breaking through the clutter to land your dream job.
In this session, Jamie guides you through the simple steps of networking and interviewing, especially in this climate. You learn how to utilize LinkedIn in ways you likely haven’t thought about, obtain tools to navigate the daunting world of job search, and perfect the process of identifying your “brand crush list” in order to find your dream job. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Society for the Prevention of Teen Suicide (SPTS). After speaking with their Clinical Director, Susan Tellone, on our podcast, we just became obsessed with the work they are doing. The mission of the SPTS is to reduce the number of youth suicides and attempted suicides by encouraging public awareness through the development and promotion of educational training programs. About Jamie: See our full bio here. |
On Thursday, 2/18/21 @ 7:30pm, we welcomed Tootsie Olan, fitness and wellness guru/founder of Tootsie Olan Digital Studio, for quiet the noise: a yoga class to pull you back into yourself.
In this session, Tootsie led us in a 45 min yoga class that quieted our heads, fired up our bodies and left us feeling simply...better. Tootsie’s classes follow her signature motto: ignite your body/light your soul. Paired with music that lifts, rocks and lays you back down, expect that you will get a wee bit of butt-kicking mixed with a heavy dose of self-care.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Dermer Dreams, a non-profit organization focused on fighting hunger. As a residential property manager in New York City, Daniel Dermer developed a food drive program across each one of the buildings his company managed. The goal of the program was to simplify the donation process so people who wanted to give to people in need were provided a simple way to do it. The program took off in New York City and we raised over 30,000 pounds off food that was delivered to shelters and food banks. Dermer Dreams expanded into New Jersey in 2019 where the Dermer Dreams food drive collected 24,633 pounds of food from the residents of Fair Haven, NJ and the surrounding towns. They also recently launched the Neighborhood Captain program that allows students to manage their own Dermer Dreams food drive. Lets Fight Hunger, One Bag at a Time!
About Tootsie:
Tootsie Olan is a NYC-born brand, birthed from an obsessive determination to share the things we believe make life deeply meaningful. With buckets of sweat, our workouts intentionally challenge physically, mentally and spiritually: Ignite Your body + Light Your Soul. Tootsie, a lifetime dancer and choreographer, created her signature cardio dance class, danceFLOORED™ and subsequent high voltage yoga class to fuel the #yes! of life, teaching people to let it go on the dance floor and yoga mat. She curates and leads her sold out dance + yoga retreats globally. And most recently, Tootsie created her online on-demand studio, Tootsie Olan Digital Studio, that allows her students from across the world to experience her classes + community anytime, anywhere. Tootsie graduated Cornell University and knows most lyrics to 90’s hip hop. Equally important, she is mom to three really remarkable kids and wife to one solidly awesome husband.

On Monday 7/20/20, we welcomed dreamMAKER Julie Harnik for networking 101: from cra*ppy wine to creating connections.
In this session we:
- Identified opportunities for networking that worked for our personality
- Learned how to approach networking in a way that supported us today and can create value for us in the future
- Participated in real time networking with others in the session
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to FULFILL, whose mission is to alleviate hunger and build food security in Monmouth & Ocean Counties and to make sure that all people at all times have access to enough nutritious food to maintain an active and healthy life. Click the logo below to go their website for more info.
About Julie:
Julie Harnik is an accomplished executive and career transition coach with a passion for helping professionals maximize their potential. Julie believes that we spend way too much time at work for it not to be fulfilling – mentally, emotionally and financially! With this in mind, she works with career transition clients to seek out opportunities in line with their purpose and career objectives – helping them form a narrative that connects where they’ve been with where they want to go and create the confidence and bold action steps necessary to achieve their goals. Julie also believes we don’t spend enough time creating leaders – rewarding strong individual contributors with management responsibilities, but not the training and support for them to be successful. It is through this lens, that she also collaborates with high-potentials and new executives to develop good leadership habits (before they have to unlearn bad ones!). Julie works with these clients to help strengthen their leadership capabilities so they can have a lasting impact within their organizations. Julie is accredited as an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) by The International Coach Federation (ICF) and as a Certified Professional Coactive Coach from the Coaches Training Institute (CTI). She is certified to administer The Leadership Circle Profile and has completed Gallup's Successful Strengths Coaching Program. She is a trained crisis counselor for Crisis Text Line and has previously served as a Self-Expression and Leadership Coach with Landmark Education. She is an alumnus of Seth Godin’s altMBA and The George Washington University. Click here for more.

On Monday 7/6/20, we kicked off our dreamMASTERS academy with setting intention 101 featuring dreamMAKER Bridget Riepl. A yogi and guru (and yes a former lawyer), Bridget gifted us a new tool to add to our toolkits: how to do work on the mat so our work is better off the mat. We meditated, we flow-ed, we let it glow.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to KYDS (Konscious Youth Development & Service), a 501c3 non-profit conscious youth development organization that transforms Youth, Schools and Communities through holistic practices. Click the logo below to go their website for more info.
About Bridget:
Bridget Riepl is the founder and owner of the NJ Yoga Collective and the VibeWell Yoga Festivals, as well as the co-founder of Boss Up and Brunch, a women's networking movement, founded to host female-lead power panels and masterminding events.
Bridget has grown her teachings and business from a single yoga class to something that has touched almost every town and studio in the state of NJ through events, social media, and her online platform for connecting our incredible yoga community.
Bridget has taught thousands of yoga classes in her career and has a profound belief in the practice's ability to transform lives, open eyes, increase compassion, enhance awareness, and make our world a more inclusive, diverse, and wildly wonderful place. To that end, Bridget serves as the chairperson for the Global Mala in NJ and will be the host of the 11th Annual Mala in 2020.
A native Jersey girl, Bridget lives in Rumson, NJ with her husband and two children, Sadie and Patrick. She spends her days by the beach, taking deep breaths, and figuring out new ways to grow her business and spread the love.
